By installing or using Neko ("the extension"), you agree to these terms.

What it is

The extension is a free tool that shows information from your own Canvas account in a different layout. It's an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Instructure, Inc. (the makers of Canvas) or any school. Canvas is a trademark of Instructure, Inc.

Check Canvas for anything official

Due dates, grades, GPA, syllabus dates and other information in the extension may be incomplete, out of date or estimated. Grades and GPA are estimates calculated on your computer. You're responsible for checking Canvas, your instructors and your school's official records for deadlines, grades and requirements. Don't rely on the extension alone for anything important.

Using it responsibly

• Use it only with your own Canvas account.
• Follow your school's rules, including its acceptable-use and academic-integrity policies.
• Don't use it to get around anything your school or instructors have restricted.
• Messages you send through it are your own, sent through your Canvas account under your school's rules, just like messages sent in Canvas.

Your data

Your data stays in your browser, as described in the privacy policy. You're responsible for backing it up if you want to keep it.

No warranty

The extension is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. It may stop working if Canvas or your school changes how Canvas works.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the developer isn't liable for any loss or damage from using or not being able to use the extension, including missed deadlines, grade outcomes or lost data.

Changes and ending

These terms may change; updates will be posted here with a new date. You can stop using the extension at any time by uninstalling it.
